Two months and a day ago, October 25, was one of my favorite nights at West Point. He and I went to the library together and did homework even though we don’t have any classes together. The idea was to be able to talk and spend time together in person so we wouldn’t get distracted talking online. This was the day after he told me he had a thing for me. So we were studying in the library and I caught him just staring at me a few times, which made me feel shy but happy at the same time. After doing homework in the library for a bit, we were walking back to our rooms and he asked if I wanted to go on a little walk with him. We did. It was kind of like a mini date I think. We walked to the stands in front of the parade field that overlooks the apron and a lot of the cadet area. We talked for a really long time even though it was pretty chilly out. West Point is truly a beautiful place and I really liked spending time just looking at the cadet area and talking to him. I really miss this, even though it was like a one time thing.
But now it’s all different. He barely talks to me anymore, and he stopped talking to me once his friend and future roommate asked me to Yearling Winter Weekend. Although my date to Yearling Winter Weekend is really nice, I wish things went back to the way they were before.
